Libraries

Libraries are places where you can read books and/or borrow books. It is free of charge.

In Urayasu City, in addition to Chuo Library, there are seven libraries (branches) which are located inside the public halls (kominkan). Chuo Library has many foreign-language materials, such as in English, Chinese, and Korean.

In order to be able to borrow books, you must make a library card. Please bring your identification card to verify your name and Urayasu City’s address, such as your residence card.
Information about how to use the library is available in simple Japanese, English, Chinese (simplified and traditional) and Korean (available in the libraries).

Tuesday to Friday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Saturday, Sunday, Monday and national holidays, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
