Dog registration

If you have a dog that is 91 days old or older, you must register it with the Environmental Health Section within 30 days.A registration fee is required.You will receive a dog tag (pet permit).

When ownership of the dog or the address or name of the owner changes, please notify the Environmental Health Section.

Vaccinations for dogs

Dogs must be vaccinated for rabies once a year.You will receive a rabies certificate (proof of vaccination) afterward.
You can choose to have your dog individually vaccinated at a hospital or group vaccinated at a city facility.You can have your dog vaccinated at a hospital individually or group vaccinated at a city facility.

Rabies vaccination (group vaccination)

The city sends out a rabies vaccination notification at the end of every March.Please be at the venue at the time stated on the notification.Fee is required.

When your pet dies

You can have your pet cremated and buried at the Clean Center. Fee is is required for cremation. Please contact the Environmental Health Section if you need to have your pet picked up from your home. Calling in advance is not required if you are bringing your pet to the Clean Center directly.

Please note that your pet’s remains cannot be returned to you. If you wish to keep the cremated remains, please find a company that offers those services on the Internet or the like and contact them directly.
Note: If your pet was a dog, please notify the Environmental Health Section of its death.

Dog parks

A dog park is a place where dogs can play freely without a leash.There are two such parks in Urayasu City.
Please contact the Environmental Health Section to apply to use these dog parks.

Urayasu Park Dog Run

Do not abandon your dog or any animals you own

Take good care of your pets. Abandoning them will make the animals suffer, and will also cause much trouble to those who live nearby.
